Marine collagen at a real 10 g dose — with the vitamin C that makes the only collagen claim the law actually allows.

Collagen is the protein your skin, hair and joints are built from — but in Great Britain there is no authorised health claim for collagen itself. So we don't make one. Instead we give you a full 10 g hydrolysed marine collagen scoop, add the vitamin C that carries the authorised claim for normal collagen formation, and print every number.

The numbers (per 10.35 g scoop)

  • Hydrolysed marine collagen — 10 g
  • Hyaluronic acid (as sodium hyaluronate) — 25 mg
  • Vitamin C — 180 mg · 225% NRV
  • Thiamin (B1) — 4 mg · 364% NRV
  • Riboflavin (B2) — 6 mg · 429% NRV
  • Niacin (B3) — 17 mg · 106% NRV
  • Pantothenic acid (B5) — 21 mg · 350% NRV
  • Vitamin B6 — 4 mg · 286% NRV
  • Folic acid — 200 µg · 100% NRV
  • Vitamin B12 — 10 µg · 400% NRV
  • Biotin — 200 µg · 400% NRV
  • 300 g · ≈29 servings · one scoop a day
  • Marine (contains fish) · not suitable for vegetarians or vegans

Dissolves in water or juice, cold or warm. One scoop, shaken rather than stirred.

What we're allowed to say

  • Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of the skin
  • Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of bones, cartilage, gums, teeth and blood vessels
  • Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system
  • Vitamin C contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress
  • Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair
  • Niacin contributes to the maintenance of normal skin
  • Riboflavin contributes to the maintenance of normal skin

Every lawful sentence about skin on this tub comes from the vitamins in it. None of them comes from the collagen.

What we won't say

That the collagen itself firms, plumps or reverses anything. Those are beauty claims with no authorised basis in GB law — the category makes them anyway. We let the vitamin C and the B-vitamins carry the claims they're legally entitled to, and print the collagen dose so you can judge it yourself.

The paperwork

Every batch is made in a UK GMP-standard facility with documentation covering identity, composition and quality. Email us the batch number on your tub and we'll send you what we hold for it. We're not yet publishing every certificate openly — where we stand is set out on our Certificates page. Contains fish; not suitable for vegetarians or vegans. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

Full ingredients: Hydrolysed marine collagen (fish), vitamin C (calcium ascorbate), sodium hyaluronate, niacin (nicotinamide), pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, riboflavin, thiamin, D-biotin, folic acid, vitamin B12.

If it isn't on this list, it isn't in the pack. //

What’s not in it

In it, and why

  • Vitamin C as calcium ascorbateA buffered salt rather than neat ascorbic acid. The vitamin C is the same molecule either way.

Not in it

  • Proprietary blends
  • Artificial sweeteners
  • Flavourings
  • Colours, titanium dioxide included
  • Preservatives
  • Added sugar
  • Gelatin

A powder needs no capsule, no coating and no flow agent, so the only non-active entry here is the form the vitamin C takes.

Allergens: Fish — declared, from the marine collagen. This panel is read off the ingredient list, which UK law requires to be complete, so it tells you what is not added. It is not an allergen guarantee — the pack is made in a facility that also handles allergenic materials, and we are not going to print a “free from” we cannot stand behind.

How to use

Adults, add 1 level scoop (10.35g) to 250ml water or juice. Dissolves better shaken than stirred; cold or tepid. Do not exceed recommended daily dose.

The science

What we're allowed to say — the authorised GB claims for the actives in this pack, quoted exactly:

  • Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of the skin
  • Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system
  • Vitamin C contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress
  • Riboflavin contributes to the maintenance of normal skin
  • Niacin contributes to the maintenance of normal skin
  • Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair

Every lawful sentence about skin here comes from the vitamins. None of it comes from the collagen — there is no authorised claim for collagen in Great Britain, and we won't imply one. //

The honest-label test

The same actives sit in a lot of tubs. The difference is what a brand is willing to print next to them.

Anima prints
  • Every active, with its exact dose & %NRV
  • The full ingredient list — fillers included
  • Only the health claims GB law authorises
  • A Certificate of Analysis, per batch, on request
  • Where it’s made and what it’s made from
The category often hides
  • “Proprietary blends” with no per-ingredient dose
  • Bulking agents behind a marketing name
  • Claims with no authorised basis in GB law
  • Testing that’s referenced but never shown
  • Source and origin left deliberately vague

Category comparison based on typical UK-available products, 2026. No specific brands referenced.

Questions, answered

What does “nothing hidden” actually mean?

Every ingredient is printed with its dose, every filler is named, and a Certificate of Analysis is held for each batch against the number on your pack — email us that number and we'll send it. If it isn’t on the label, it isn’t in the pack.

Are the health claims on this site legal?

We only use health claims authorised on the GB nutrition and health claims register, at the doses those claims require. Where a popular claim isn’t authorised — botanicals like ashwagandha and turmeric, or cardiovascular claims for K2 — we say so and make no claim.

Where is it made, and is it tested?

Manufactured in the UK to GMP standard. Each batch is tested for identity, potency and heavy metals (plus microbiology on powders), and the results are held per batch and sent on request.

What about sweeteners and fillers?

No sweeteners, ever. Any bulking or anti-caking agent needed to make a capsule work is named in full in the ingredient list — never hidden behind a “complex”. Every product page has a What’s not in it panel that lists each one and why it is there.
